02. Sector 21 and The Hx!

Geez... His hand... Is warm... And... WHY AM I FEELING MY HEARTBEAT NOW?! Yumi thought as they got teleported to Sector 21. "Many good lucks to you!" Aelita wished them good luck as she went back to the room where she will lead and help them in Sector 21.

"Shit... What the heck is this?! Am I dreaming or... WHAT?!!!" Yumi saw her hologram on the floor that she was standing on.
" What is this and where am I?! Ulrich! Where are you?!" Yumi yelled at the top of her voice as she ran around the little cubicle-like void.
Dressed in a space-suit like costume, looking awkward and uncomfortable with a new partner who went missing, Ulrich drove his bike outside the void where Yumi was running in. All Ulrich has in his mind is to find Yumi before anything comes and attack anyone of the duo, the only humans in the virtual world. Unfortunately, Ulrich's biggest nightmares came, a figure clad in a similar suit as what Ulrich was wearing, except that it was a completely dark suit without a shape, appeared.
Without any hesitations, Ulrich drew out a pair of baton-like weapons from both sides of the bike. The baton-like weapons pixelated and transformed into a pair of Samurai swords with a twist of futuristic laser blades. The figure that approached Ulrich and spitted some goo-like corrosive gels towards where Ulrich's bike were, it missed and hit the void.
"YUMI! BEHIND YOU!!!" Yumi was in void looking around when she heard Yoki's voice from her earpiece.
Shocked, Yumi saw a gel-like object broke one of the walls of the void, it didn't stopped after breaking the walls, instead, it approached Yumi, who was stunned and lost on what is going on.
"Okay... This is not what I am expecting, but I need to protect myself from that weird thingy..." Yumi ran towards the hole as a pair of turbo jets formed on her platform shoes.
"Huh?! Whoa!!! What is this doing on my feet now?!" The turbo jets started before Yumi could finish talking.
Screaming like a little girl, Yumi was sent flying around the skies of the virtual world, losing sight of the dangerous gel-like object.
A few light-seconds ended since Ulrich's encounter and Yumi's flight, with her getting control of her new transport...
A tower with a space-ship looking roof stood in front of the new heroine who was struggling to maintain control of her turbo jets, the sign board greeted Yumi with a sentence that shocked Yumi out of her life again, it says "Welcome to Sector 21! Young mistress!". Out of her gut feeling, Yumi decided to land on the roof when a sudden flash of memory flashed in her mind.
That flash of memory was Yumi when she was in the dojo with her master when she was about to leave and join Rosewood Junior High, "Yumi, I had something to show you, it was from your mother before she went missing."
Upon hearing that, Yumi sat straight and paid extra attention her master who was removing one of the tatami mats in the centre of the Dojo. A key and a box was hidden under the mat. Yumi's master handed the box to Yumi, telling her not let anyone know of its existence when she leaves the school. Tears welled up Yumi's eyes and blurred her vision for a few seconds, "Mother..."
Unpacking the box, a tablet-computer with Yumi's name in Japanese carved on the back was revealed. Inside the tablet, concept arts of some futuristic world and sets of space-suits were saved in a folder named "To my beloved daughter when she is 18 years old."
"You must be kidding with me, mother." Yumi smirked as she shook her head and looked at her reflections in the glass panels of the roof, reflecting Yumi in one of the space-suits that she saw from her mother's tablet back then.
Returning to where she last stopped from landing, Yumi noticed a yellow spot and a purple spot moving and hovering around each other in the dark skies of the virtual world. Ulrich... The turbo jet engines roared as Yumi flew towards the lights.
Ulrich and the dark figure was fighting, exchanging strikes from each other's swords. Laser beams were shot occasionally from the dark figure as Yumi approached them, the lasers missed Yumi as Yumi used her baton which looked the same as what Ulrich was using for his swords, to hit the lasers that were attacking her.
"User! DIE!!!!" The figure chanted as it fought Yumi, leaving Ulrich alone after Yumi's appearance.
Furious from being ignored in the middle of the fight, Ulrich joined Yumi in fighting the figure. Angry strikes from Ulrich's beaming swords sliced through the figure's path and one of the strikes hit the figure.
"I don't know who you are and why are you attacking me, but you must be dead!" Yumi punched the figure before it disappeared in speckles of lights.
Astonished, Ulrich looked at Yumi, who seemed to be familiar with the new place that she was at, he followed Yumi as she walked toward the tower that greeted her. The tower is where Angel lived in and where the creator of the virtual world was believed to be last seen before her disappearance. "Mother... I missed you! Where are you? And why are we here?" Yumi cried as she looked at a statue of her mother outside the building.
"We are here because she sent us here." Ulrich gave Yumi a gentle pat as he helped Yumi who was weakened from intensive and massive usage of her powers in the flight and the fight.
